How is QuietHire different from traditional recruiters?

Traditional recruiters work for companies, not candidates. Their primary goal is to fill positions quickly to collect their fee, often treating candidates as interchangeable resources. QuietHire flips this model by working exclusively for you, the candidate.

What types of roles do you help with?

We're most effective with candidates who have at least 2-3 years of experience in the tech industry, though we occasionally work with exceptional early-career professionals who demonstrate outstanding potential.

How does your process work?

Our process is straightforward but highly personalized:

How selective is QuietHire with candidates?

We're highly selective about who we work with, for several reasons:

  • Our reputation with our inside contacts depends on consistently recommending excellent candidates
  • Our income sharing model means we only succeed when you do
  • We maintain a low client-to-consultant ratio to ensure personalized service

In general, we look for candidates with strong technical skills, good communication abilities, and professional experience that will be attractive to our network of hiring contacts. We typically accept less than 20% of applicants to our service.

Can I use QuietHire if I'm currently employed?

Absolutely. In fact, many of our clients are currently employed but looking for better opportunities. We understand the importance of discretion in these situations and take extra precautions to ensure your job search remains confidential.

We never share your information without your explicit permission, and we're careful to approach only trusted contacts who understand the need for confidentiality.

How does your fee structure work?

Our fee structure is designed to align our interests with yours:

  • Initial Fee: We charge a modest upfront fee to begin working with you. This covers our initial consultation, strategic planning, and the beginning of our outreach efforts.
  • Success Fee: Our primary compensation comes through an income sharing agreement where we receive a percentage of your first year's compensation in the new role we help you secure. This is typically paid in installments as you receive your salary.

The specific terms are clearly outlined in our service agreement and discussed during our consultation. This model ensures that we're motivated to not just find you a job, but to find you the highest-paying opportunity that matches your skills and goals.

What if I don't find a job through your service?

Our income sharing model means we only collect the majority of our fee when you successfully land a position through our service. The initial fee is non-refundable as it covers our upfront work, but the success fee only applies if we actually help you secure a new position.

We're highly selective about who we work with precisely because we want to ensure we can deliver results. If we accept you as a client, it's because we're confident in our ability to help you land a great role.

How quickly can I expect results?

While timelines vary based on your specific experience, target roles, and market conditions, our clients typically:

  • Begin receiving interview requests within 2 weeks of engaging our services
  • Secure a new position within 45-60 days

The process can be faster for candidates with high-demand skills or more specialized experience. During our initial consultation, we can provide a more personalized timeline based on your specific situation.

What companies do you have connections with?

We maintain a network of contacts across the tech industry, including Fortune 500 companies, fast-growing startups, and established mid-size companies. Our connections span across various sectors including fintech, healthtech, enterprise software, consumer apps, AI/ML companies, and more.

For obvious reasons, we don't publicly disclose the specific companies or individuals in our network. The confidential nature of these relationships is part of what makes our approach effective. During our consultation, we can discuss whether we have connections in your specific areas of interest.

Do you guarantee job placement?

While we can't guarantee job placement (no ethical service can), our income sharing model means we're completely aligned with your success. We only accept candidates we believe we can genuinely help, and our track record speaks for itself.
